WNBA player Lexie Brown has publicly addressed rumors suggesting she had an affair with NBA star Klay Thompson, urging him to refute the claims.
Brown, who plays for the Seattle Storm, spoke out following her denial of the rumors amid Thompson’s breakup with rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
She stated, “I wouldn’t have minded if either one of them came out and said it because at the end of the day, they’re the ones that are in the relationship.”
In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Brown expressed disappointment that neither Thompson nor Thee Stallion addressed the rumors directly.
She revealed that she had been subjected to alleged death threats due to the situation, emphasizing the need for clarification from the involved parties.
“The truth is over there somewhere, and I was expecting it to reveal itself from that side of it… it was just really disappointing,” she added.
Brown confirmed her minimal interaction with Thompson, stating, “Me and Klay, we know each other because we do play professional basketball. I wouldn’t have considered him a friend.”
She mentioned that she does not know Megan Thee Stallion at all and had anticipated a swift denial from either of them after the rumors emerged.
“I had a game to focus on, and I quite literally did not have time to handle that. But surely somebody would step in and say, no, this is a lie,” Brown explained.
Despite her ongoing denial of the allegations, she noted, “I’m still the only person that has denied this entire situation of my involvement and claimed that this is 100% false.”
Brown’s comments highlight the challenges of dealing with public scrutiny while maintaining focus on her professional commitments.
