Coco Gauff vomited on the court during her match at the Madrid Open on Sunday. She was competing against Romania’s Sorana Cirstea when she faced health issues. Gauff was down a set and a break before her medical timeout.

After feeling ill, Gauff dashed to the side of the court to vomit. Despite this setback, she managed to turn the match around. Gauff won the match with a score of 4-6, 7-5, 6-1.

Gauff remarked, “I don’t know how I got it done,” after the match. She mentioned trying to keep her food down during the contest. Gauff also noted that she believed she caught the stomach virus circulating in the locker room.

Iga Swiatek had also withdrawn from her match due to the same illness. Swiatek experienced difficulties during her third-round match against Ann Li. Gauff’s resilience allowed her to continue competing despite her health challenges.
