Zawiercie Dominates Lublin in PlusLiga Finals Opener

Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie triumphed over Bogdanka LUK Lublin 3-0 in the first match of the Polish PlusLiga finals.

The team controlled the game, winning the first two sets and overpowering their rivals in the third. The set scores were 25:19, 25:21, and 25:14.

Aaron Russell was pivotal in the victory, scoring 20 points and earning MVP honors. He achieved a 56 percent success rate in attacks, alongside six aces and two blocks.

Bartłomiej Bołądź added 11 points to the team’s score. Wilfredo Leon was the top scorer for Lublin with 14 points.

Zawiercie excelled in various statistics, holding an advantage in attacks and producing 13 aces to Lublin’s six. They also dominated at the net with a 12-5 blocking advantage.

In addition, Zawiercie committed fewer errors, with 16 compared to Lublin’s 18. The second match in this best-of-five series is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, in Lublin.
