The Cuartos de Final for the Liguilla del Clausura 2026 will take place from May 2 to May 10, 2026. This phase follows the conclusion of Jornada 17, marking the end of the regular season. The Liguilla, known as the Fiesta Grande, showcases the best of Liga MX.
The Liga MX announced the tournament schedule in December, detailing the dates for the Cuartos de Final matches. The first leg will occur on Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3. The second leg is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 10.
This year’s format differs from tradition, as the matches will not start on Wednesday or Thursday but will be held on consecutive weekends. This scheduling aims to prevent overlap with the Semifinals of the Concacaf Champions League.
Two Liga MX teams, Tigres and Toluca, are also participating in the Concacaf Champions League. The final four clubs competing in the Liguilla will be determined by May 10. The Semifinals of the Clausura 2026 will take place from May 13 to May 17.
The grand final is set between May 21 and May 24. Currently, the teams qualified for the Liguilla include Pumas, Chivas, Pachuca, Toluca, Cruz Azul, Atlas, Tigres, and América. The potential matchups for the Cuartos de Final are Pumas vs. América, Chivas vs. Tigres, Pachuca vs. Atlas, and Toluca vs. Cruz Azul.
Pumas vs. América and Chivas vs. Tigres are confirmed matchups based on current standings.
