Fabio Quartararo is feeling pessimistic ahead of the MotoGP 2026 race in France. The event will take place at Le Mans from May 8-10, 2026. This race marks the fifth round of the MotoGP 2026 calendar.
Quartararo has struggled in the first four races of the season. His best finish so far was 14th place at both the MotoGP Thailand and MotoGP Spain events.
With Yamaha’s performance not improving, Quartararo refrained from being overly optimistic about the upcoming race. During a test at the Jerez Circuit, he placed seventh with a time of 1:36.439.
Quartararo’s time still lagged 0.495 seconds behind Ai Ogura, the fastest rider in the test. He stated, ‘I think this will go a little better, but I will not say that I am optimistic.’
He continued, ‘We have not found anything really important.’ His focus is on minor details that could enhance his riding style.
In his previous outings at the French MotoGP, Quartararo has achieved a podium finish once, winning the race in 2021.
