CSKA Sofia won bronze medals in the Bulgarian Women’s Volleyball Championship, known as the Demax League. They triumphed with a 3:2 victory over CPVC in Hristo Botev Hall.
The match was the third and decisive encounter for third place. CSKA finished the series 2-1, securing bronze for the second consecutive year.
The match lasted over two hours and featured multiple turnarounds. CPVC led twice in sets but CSKA’s resilience shone through.
CPVC started strong, winning the first set with a streak of nine consecutive points. They transformed the score from 13:14 to 22:14.
In response, CSKA convincingly took the second set. The third set was fiercely contested, ultimately in favor of CPVC.
CSKA dominated the fourth set, winning 25:13, which forced a tie-break. In the decisive fifth set, CSKA initially led 11:9.
CPVC managed to turn the tide to 13:12. However, CSKA finished strong with three consecutive points, winning the set 15:13 and the match.
