The team’s goals came from an effective second half performance. Francisco Rivera scored twice in the 49th and 82nd minutes, while Jefferson added another goal in the 76th minute. Mikael Tata sealed the win with his goal in the 86th minute.

After the match, Mikael Tata noted the challenges faced during the game, particularly in the first half. He stated, “The match was quite heavy, especially in the first half due to the very hot weather. In the second half, the situation was more favorable, and we could take advantage of it to score goals.”

This victory reinforces Persebaya’s dominance in the East Java Derby. The team has extended its impressive record of being unbeaten against Arema FC for the past eight years, highlighting its consistency and strength in this high-stakes rivalry.

Despite the convincing scoreline, Tata emphasized that the match was not easy.
