Fitzpatrick Brothers Set Record 57 at Zurich Classic for Lead

Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick shot a record 15-under 57 in better-ball play at the Zurich Classic.

This performance gives them a four-shot lead heading into the final round. They are at 30-under 186 through 54 holes, setting another record for the PGA Tour’s only team event.

Matt Fitzpatrick described the round as an ‘amazing day’ and noted, ‘It was just hole after hole.’

The elder Fitzpatrick, ranked third in the world, showcased his skills with a chip-in birdie on the first hole. His round included a 33 1/2-foot putt for eagle on the par-5 seventh hole.

A 210-yard approach with a 5-iron on No. 12 set up a birdie opportunity, bringing his performance to a new level. The Fitzpatrick brothers are poised for a strong finish in this unique tournament.
